img9To our Stakeholders,

Our company was founded in 1919 by my great grandfather, Carl Greenblatt. A determined pharmacist, he took his $50 military payout after World War I and spent his spare time compounding drugs and selling them around Jersey City, NJ. After being turned down by several pharmaceutical companies because of his religious affiliation, my great grandfather was intent on creating a company without bias; built on the belief that our combined differences make us strong – as individuals and as an organization.  Starting with Carl’s vision, we’ve been focused on helping people by developing reliable and effective medicines, caring for our employees and community, and generating value for our partners.

For almost 100 years, we’ve developed, manufactured, and marketed products designed to alleviate human suffering. We’re also committed to the communities where we live and work. We donate 10% of our profits to charity every year and encourage our colleagues to discover their passion for service through charitable initiatives in our local communities and beyond.

Our company purpose is “helping people realize their potential.” This is very personal to me, and core to everything we do. Whether it’s helping our patients by developing a new product, increasing our efficiency by designing a more effective workflow, building new relationships with our customers, creating a work environment that fosters personal and professional growth, or helping others less fortunate than us – our goal is to act as stewards of the assets and capabilities that we possess so that we leave the world a better place than when we found it.

With our unique history and deep commitment to our values, we aim to realize our potential and help others do so through growth. Growth isn’t only about business and advancement, it’s about personal development, movement in a positive direction and evolving – mentally, physically and spiritually. Being able to step outside your comfort zone, extend your horizons and take risks fosters learning and growth, which is how to realize your potential.  Only when you have an organization filled with people who are growing, can the organization grow and be successful – and realize it’s potential.

At G&W, we believe in our people and are committed to their growth as individuals.  We believe that nothing is impossible and that change is an important opportunity to learn something new.

This is our journey. I am grateful to those who have joined us and welcome others to help us continue on our path as we realize our potential – together.

Sincerely,
