Job Opening - Product Development Laboratory Clerk

Basic Function and Responsibility:

This position provides clerical/administrative support services to the QC laboratory. Scope of duties includes word processing, copying and filing of all departmental documents, distributing, collecting, and storing sample/ lab supplies, washing/drying/distributing glassware to appropriate location within laboratory; assist with cleaning laboratory facilities, performing physical tests and preparing labels and sample jars; and ordering supplies and shipping samples to outside labs.

Work Performed:

Duties include but are not limited to:

bullet

Maintain inventory of RD raw materials required for R&D and clinical/submission batches.

bullet

Coordinate and maintain all purchasing requisitions (POs), product files, and MSDS files.

bullet

Set up stability samples of lab prototypes.

bullet

Prepare accurate monthly accounting statements for the departmental expenses.

bullet

Ship samples for outside testing; prepare necessary paperwork.

bullet

Wash lab glassware (load/unload dishwasher).

bullet

Routine (daily calibration) calibration of pH meter/balances.

bullet

Prepare documentation for destruction (Lab batches/RD batches /Chemicals/ Reagents) on a routine basis.

Qualifications:

Position requires competency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and laboratory environment.

Education:

bullet

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a Science Discipline.

Experience:

bullet

Minimum of two years of related pharmaceutical experience required.

bullet

0-2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
