Job Opening - Mechanic
Basic Function and Responsibility:

Diagnose, repair and modify manufacturing machines and auxiliary equipment including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, electronic (basic), hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Work Performed:

bullet

Changeover of equipment in the manufacturing department.

bullet

Intall or assist in the installation and start up of new or existing equipment.

bullet

Perform equipment Installation Qualification and Operation Qualification.

bullet

Read, understand and interpret drawings and schematics.

bullet

Set up and operate machine shop equipment.

bullet

Possibly weld, including Oxy/Acetylene, Arc welding and TIG welding.

bullet

Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing or packaging machines and auxiliary equipment including basic electricity.

bullet

Document work performed on equipment.

bullet

Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with cGMP's.

Possesses sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.

Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands.

Executes assigned tasks within established schedule.

Writes and speaks clearly and concisely.

Develop and maintain expertise through continuing professional education and training.

Comply with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

bullet

Must be able to work inside or outside of company buildings.

bullet

Must be physically able to carry necessary tools and equipment to complete work assignments.

bullet

Must be able to bend repeatedly and lift up to 60 lbs.

bullet

Must have knowledge and experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance and operation of machinery and auxiliary equipment.

bullet

Must have some basic electrical knowledge.

bullet

Must be capable of working with minimum supervision.

bullet

Must be able to burn and weld with minimum supervision.

bullet

Must be able to work wearing any protective clothing, equipment or respirator that may be required for the job.

Education:

bullet

High school diploma (or equivalency) or Technical school certificate.

Experience:

bullet

Electrical experience required.

bullet

Mechanical experience required.

bullet

Machine Shop experience required.

bullet

Sarong experience a plus.

bullet

Over three (3) years up to and including five (5) years experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

Applicants must include salary requirements.

NOTE: ideal candidate must be open to working any shift; and able to work 2 of 3 shifts.
