Drug Facts

Active ingredient Purpose (in each capsule) Docusate sodium 100 mg Stool softener Uses for the prevention of hard, dry stools. Helps keep stools soft for easy, natural passage Warnings Do not use if you are presently taking mineral oil, unless directed by a doctor If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Directions . adults and children over 12 years: 1 or 2 capsules at bedtime for 1 to 3 days. 1 capsule daily thereafter, for continued prophylactic effect . children 6 - 12 years: 1 capsule at bedtime, or as directed by a doctor . the effect of docusate sodium on stools may not be apparent until 1 to 3 days after the first dose Other information . each capsule contains: sodium 5 mg . keep tightly closed . store at room temperature Inactive ingredients FD&C red #40, FD&C yellow #6, gelatin, glycerin, polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitol
